Paris Metro line 4

Automation of France’s second busiest metro line

(Paris Metro line 4)

Automation of France’s second busiest metro line.

The line 4’s Central Control Station went live in 2020. For Paris transport authority RATP, this was a key step towards automation and – more generally – towards bringing the Grand Paris to life. Launched in 2016, this project involves many technological challenges… not least the development of the first audiovisual equipment integrated into RATP’s operating processes. Agelec created a smart, scalable, OS-agnostic solution for RATP to take on board the future connections within the Grand Paris. The Paris transport teams have gained lasting power over the images that help them make decisions.

This design also made it possible to create an interactive training room. It can simulate any operating environment and makes skill acquisition easier and more effective.
